Ryan Fuller | Co-Owner of Toast
Ryan Fuller is thrilled to be part of the vibrant and close-knit community of Jeffersonville, NY, as the co-owner of Toast. With a passion for creating welcoming spaces, Ryan brings a wealth of experience and a deep appreciation for community building.
Originally from Bucks County, PA, Ryan honed his skills managing The Raven and Nevermore in New Hope, where he spent six years fostering a sense of connection and inclusivity. Following his time in the hospitality industry, he transitioned into the insurance field, dedicating a decade to professional growth and development.
In 2023, Ryan made the move from Bucks County to Manhattan, to enjoy city life, and then drawn by the charm and opportunity to contribute to this special community of Jeffersonville. His background in hospitality and community engagement, combined with his entrepreneurial spirit, has shaped his vision for Toast as a space where neighbors and visitors alike can come together, share stories, and enjoy good company.
Ryan is excited to bring his expertise and enthusiasm to Jeffersonville, creating a place where everyone feels at home.
Walter Rumaldo | Co-Owner of Toast
Walter Rumaldo was born in El Salvador in 1984. He is the father of a beautiful girl and an adorable son. He completed his basic studies in his country. He then left his country at the age of 20, heading to the United States in search of a better future.
When he arrived in New York, he started working as a dishwasher in a restaurant on Long Island with the vision of continuing to advance. He began to learn more about the food industry. Little by little, he began to introduce himself more in the kitchen. His first job as a chef was at Pizzaiola, located in North Babylon. Then he went to work at Portofino, located in Hicksville. Then at Crostini, located in Massapequa Park. Finally, he began working at Patrizia's of Long Island, located in Hicksville. He met many valuable people while working there.
He then started his business as owner and operator of "JW MAINTENANCE CORP" alongside the woman he loves the most and the engine of his motivation.
In 2024, he traveled to Upstate New York and took a chance at a new job. He met wonderful people in Jeffersonville when he started working as head kitchen manager at Toast, and now he is happy to be a partner in Toast. This opportunity turned out to be something very special.
Michael Gallagher | Co-Owner of Toast
Michael and his husband John bought a farm in the Jeffersonville area a few years ago. While he remains an aspiring farmer, Michael quickly realized he has no green thumb and decided since he cannot grow food, he might as well eat it. Given his memories of meals around the dining room table, love of pancakes, wine, and friends- Toast was born. And thanks to partners, Ryan, and Walter - it has exceeded his hopes.
Both Michael and John cherish community and nurturing the garden around them and therefore are passionate about Toast’s team, creating opportunity for others, Toast’s community meal program, its low cost / free after-school club, and Toast’s efforts to celebrate good food and one another! Come hang out with us and make Toast your kitchen.
